Just Desserts: An Event Hosted by the Salvation Army Tampa Chapter with celebrity Chef Jeff11/29/2015 I was so honored when the Salvation Army requested that I play at their very special Just Desserts evening at the Tampa Convention Center! The Salvation Army does such wonderful things for the community so I was thrilled to work with them. There was a Christmas tree decorating contest and there were 4 beautiful trees to choose from. I played a variety of classical and Christmas music for the festive occasion. Chef Jeff Henderson, from the TV show Flip My Food, gave a quick speech about his new book and how he started in the kitchen and his desire to inspire others. I was even able to get a quick photo with him! How exciting! Everyone at this event was so kind and considerate. I really had such a great evening. Big thanks to Jerry Stickney and his team at the Salvation Army Tampa Chapter for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful night! Click or tab on the picture below to start the slideshow! I was so excited when Austin, a musician like myself, contacted me to play his intimate dinner reception at Geoffrey’s Floral and Events. Austin is a very accomplished cellist and I was flattered at his request. The week of the wedding Austin found out some devastating news. The cellist performing the ceremony music became injured and was no longer able to play. The couple asked if I could fill in and I was more than happy to! I had the chance to participate in a beautiful ceremony between the lovely couple. I am so fortunate to witness such beautiful memories! The ceremony, which took place at the beautiful Ybor City Museum, was unlike any ceremony I have attended. The ceremony focused on their beliefs and spirituality. I almost forgot to mention...everyone was dressed in costumes! It was so fun! I’m still a little mad at the couple for not telling me everyone was going to be in costumes, as I would have participated in the festivities and worn my angel wings and halo. ;) Even though I looked a little out of place not being dressed in a costume, I had such a wonderful time during the ceremony. Ashley was GLOWING as she walked down the aisle to her future husband. She looked absolutely stunning. She wore a lovely gown with a gorgeous beaded hooded veil. Since I was playing the dinner reception I had a couple of hours in between. My wonderful husband and kids came and met me. We enjoyed a great dinner together which was really nice (we don’t get out much lol). I then headed over to the reception. I had a BLAST playing the reception. The guests were SO much fun and so nice. The reception location was decorated very modern but earthy. There were flowers, plants, and candles EVERYWHERE. It looked amazing! The succulent place card holders were my favorite! Thank you Ashley and Austin for having me be a part of your beautiful day! I wish you a lifetime of success and happiness! So I was thrilled when I was contacted to be included in their dream wedding. The couple’s dear friend, Pedro, hired me as their wedding present which was so incredibly thoughtful! It has been Felicia’s dream to have a harpist at her wedding and I was so glad to make her dream come true! I am so glad same-sex marriage has become legal and I get to witness couples, like Lynor and Felicia, who have been waiting for-ev-er to marry, finally get the opportunity to do so. The love between the couple was SO apparent. The love was radiating from them- from their smiles, to the sweet caressing of each other’s hands, or the simple gesture of fixing a stray hair. Lynor and Felicia are SO in love! The ceremony was very sweet and the guests formed a unity circle around the couple while they witnessed their vows. Felicia sang to Lynor during the exchanging of the rings. This was such a touching moment! I don’t know if this was planned or not, but it appeared to me that it was a spontaneous moment like she was so full of love she just burst into song! I’m going to be honest, I got a little teary eyed during the ceremony because it was so moving and sincere. Thank you Lynor and Felicia for letting me be a part of such a monumental moment of your relationship and lives. I wish you both continued happiness and love, forever. Ashley and Patrick's beautiful #wedding at the Charles #Ringling Mansion of #NewCollege in #Sarasota11/19/2015 Ashley and Patrick had the most beautiful backdrop and weather for their wedding ceremony! The lovely couple tied the knot at the gorgeous and historic mansion on the campus of New College in Sarasota, Florida. The mansion was previously owned by the notorious Charles Ringling. There was a nice subtle breeze in the air and not a cloud in the sky! I entertained the guests while they arrived. This group of guests had to have been one of the best dressed group I have ever seen at a wedding. Everyone was dressed in formalwear, which was very fitting for the very classy location. A good friend of the couple officiated the wedding. The officiant did a wonderful job! He included personal touches and kept the ceremony light and comical. It was very sweet how the couple incorporated their children into the pouring of the sand during the sand ceremony. It was so nice for the couple to have a visual reminder of the blending of their families. The day of wedding coordinator, Lucy from LH Events, was so sweet and helpful. It is so important to have a great wedding planner to help the day proceed effortlessly! A wedding coordinator relieves so much stress from the event and allows the couple to enjoy their moment! Even though my car wouldn’t start and I needed a jump, :( I had such a great time at this wedding. Thank you Mr & Mrs Thomas for including me in your special day! I was so excited when my favorite grocery store contacted me to play for their Friends and Family Night for the new Publix store opening in the gorgeous Dade City. I love that my job allows me to travel to different cities that I haven’t had the opportunity to visit. The drive to the store was so gorgeous! Some of the little towns were picturesque or something you would see in a movie! The new Publix store in Dade City was so nice! It was decorated for fall with beautiful wood accents everywhere. The CEO and other officers were all there to celebrate the opening of store #1496 I played for an hour before the ceremony while guests, friends, and family arrived. Miss Teen Pasco sang the National Anthem to start the ceremony and the local high school Junior ROTC presented the colors. It was a very special and beautiful ceremony. Thank you Publix of Dade City for being a part of such a monumental occasion! |
