I was looking forward to EVERYTHING about this vow renewal. I couldn’t wait to meet the amazing couple, play at the beautiful Schalamar Creek and to work with an amazing team of vendors. The couple and Joann Moncada from Glamorous Occasions planned THE perfect renewal. The ceremony site looked amazing! The altar had the most beautiful flower arrangement on top. It was a piece of art. The harp looked perfect next to it. The bride made her grand entrance in a BENTLEY! How cool is that?! She looked absolutely breathtaking. (Can I just say, that this couple looked fantastic! They didn’t look old enough to be married for 25 years!) Anyway, I was truly honored to be included in such an important milestone in their relationship. Here’s to another 25+ years and counting! I hope their next 25 years are even better than the first! xoxo
DJ Entertainment by Graingertainment, decorations by Vel-Mar Events and photos by the amazing team of Maryel and Rob Photography! This was my first surprise proposal and hopefully not the last!!! The rose garden at the Central Park in Winter Park was beautiful and was the spot where the couple had their first kiss two years ago. I played "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" while the couple approached and then "All of Me" when they were standing in front of me. These songs have special meaning to them. I was so honored to be a part of their journey to future husband and wife! Congratulations Orlando and Jenny!!! Oh and my amazing husband José Alexis Photography took the great pictures for them! I was so excited when the Oxford Exchange contacted me to play for their special Valentine’s day event they were hosting. If you’ve never been to the Oxford Exchange, you must go… like this weekend. It is amazing! They have it all!... A bookstore, gift shop, coffee shop, tea bar, a restaurant, and a beautiful (semi) outside courtyard. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The place looks like it was decorated by Chip and Joanna Gaines (if you don’t know who THEY are… I suggest your watch Fixer Upper on HGTV. You will fall in love). I was fortunate to play in their private courtyard. The courtyard has a beautiful water feature and white brick walls adorned with plants and gas lanterns. The guests were greeted with roses at their tables and champagne! Each table was presented with tea and a tiered serving plate filled with delicious goodies. I played a variety of classical and LOVE songs. While I was playing I came across a few handwritten notes from my husband attached to my music and inside my bench. This made my day! I had such a great time playing there and the guests really enjoyed it (they told me. hehe). Thank you Oxford Exchange for allowing me to play my beautiful harp at your beautiful place!
Also, how can I forget what happened AFTER I was finished playing. I was walking to my car with the harp to see an embarrassing display of red hearts drawn on the windows of my car and “I love you!” on my back window. There was also a big red heart balloon that said “Happy Valentine’s Day” attached to my rear windshield wiper. My hubby drove all the way to Tampa to surprise me! I was so surprised and thankful that he did that for me! It was a WONDERFUL day! :) Let me just say… I LOVE playing at The Palmetto Club. Every time I’m there, I get lost in the beauty of the venue. The gardens are absolutely perfect and the ballroom is beautiful. Needless to say, I was so excited to play for Avery and Justin’s wedding at one of my favorite wedding venues. I loved the couple’s choice of colors for the wedding. The bridesmaids were dressed in pink and the groomsmen had accents of blue. The altar was adorned with flowers matching these accent colors… it was gorgeous!! The flowers were so beautiful and was such an elegant touch to the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful! I loved watching Justin’s smile as he saw his bride approach him.. priceless! Avery looked stunning in her sweetheart ball gown. I had the honor of playing the ceremony and the cocktail hour. I had to tune the harp a couple times that evening due to the temperature change from outside for the ceremony (it was chilly!) to the very comfortable indoors for the cocktail hour. I loved that the couple also chose to have a live band for the reception. The couple really thought of everything! This wedding was Pinterest perfect! Thank you Avery and Justin for having me be a part of your perfect day! |
