Okay so I say “country” but the wedding was not your typical “country” wedding. Rebecca and Joshua’s elegant wedding was held at the beautiful Heron Creek Country Club on the golf course. The ceremony took place on the side of the green, up a huge hill, with a fountain in the back. The weather was absolutely perfect just like the ceremony location! There was a gentle breeze and the sun… the light was gorgeous! (I took so many sunset pictures. lol) The attire was formal and the guests looked stunning! It was all about the details with this wedding. The colors were purple and light green. Under the Rebecca’s gorgeous lace dress she was wearing cowboy boots! The bridesmaids dressed in purple, also wore cowboy boots. The groomsmen were wearing light tan suits with green accents. The two flower girls were the cutest!! They were wearing the prettiest flowergirl dresses I’ve ever seen (they were custom made and gorgeous). One flower girl dress was accented in purple, the other green. The ceremony was decorated with my favorite flower, hydrangeas. I just loved all these little details! Did I mention how beautiful Rebecca’s dress was? She looked absolutely breathtaking! She walked down the aisle to “Ave Maria” which was a family tradition. How sweet! I love being included in such beautiful moments. I’m so thankful to Rebecca and Joshua for allowing me to provide their ceremony music for such a beautiful day. I wish them a lifetime of love. Alexandra and Jeffrey’s Circle of Love at @LongboatKeyClub Resort Harborside in #longboatkey11/18/2016 I loved EVERYTHING about Alexandra and Jeffrey’s wedding. I love playing at the Longboat Key Club Resort Harborside even though I stupidly followed my GPS and got lost. I KNOW how to get to this venue…. I just chose to ignore my instinct. Lol Anyway, I arrived with plenty of time to set up (This is why I always leave EARLY.. just in case). This was probably the first wedding where the groom offered to help me unload and set up the harp. HOW SWEET!? There were so many little details that I enjoyed and appreciated about this wedding. The ceremony chairs were set up in a circle so that everyone had a great view of the bride and groom. I LOVED this. The couple was literally surrounded by the ones they love! The flower girl was the CUTEST... Ever. She kept calling the bride “Princess Allie” and was SO excited when the bride walked down the aisle. My heart melted. The flower girl was wearing the same dress the bride wore at her parents wedding. The ceremony was very beautiful and they included different readings throughout. My favorite was when they did a reading and German and English to honor the groom’s ancestry. I was really impressed with their German! I loved watching the love they had for each other shine in their eyes and their smiles. It was so obvious the love they not only have for each other but their family. I’m so lucky to witness moments like these. How could I almost forget?! Allie and Jeff requested that I play “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit for the recessional song. I had SO much fun learning and playing this song. I’ve probably played it at every event/wedding since then. I LOVE IT! (Thank you for introducing me to such a cool song! I would have never thought to learn that one.) After the ceremony, the photographer got some incredible shots of the beautiful couple with the harp. :) I’m such a proud mama when I see my baby girl in portraits. After pictures, it was time for the cocktail hour. Aside from getting eaten alive (why did I forget my bugspray? wahh), I had such a GREAT time playing contemporary songs for the guests. The guests were great! I really enjoyed talking to them and receiving compliments. Hehe :) I could go on and on about this wedding. Allie and Jeff’s wedding was not only beautiful but unique. One I will always remember. THANK YOU for including me in such a memorable moment in your life. I wish you all the love and happiness in the world. I was so excited to play for Andrea and Jason’s wedding! I’ve played at some really spectacular locations before but never on a rooftop. Needless to say, I was REALLY looking forward to their wedding. The couple tied the knot on the Westin rooftop overlooking the bay. The view was breathtaking and the weather was perfect! There was a nice gentle breeze. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day for a wedding! We were anticipating the sound of the traffic to be overbearing compared to the harp so I made sure to bring my amp just in case. As it turns out, I didn’t even need my amp. The ceremony was intimate so it worked out perfectly. (I was a little concerned because a minor car accident happened on the road below. Thankfully, no one was hurt. I was worried there would be sirens and a lot of traffic that would interrupt the ceremony but I was really impressed how smoothly the accident was handled. I don't think anyone realized what happened below). Anyway… Andrea looked so beautiful and regal. She had the biggest smile on her face. I’m pretty sure the groom was brought to tears (okay okay not like crying but like one little glistening tear. lol). Shhh it’s our secret. ;) My favorite moment of the day is when the bride and groom high-fived each other after the ceremony! It was a candid moment between the two of them. I’m not even sure if anyone else saw it but me. It was the sweetest!! After the ceremony, I had the pleasure of playing cocktail hour for the guests. The guests were so kind and appreciative of my playing...which is always really nice. I had a wonderful time playing for Jason and Andrea. I’m honored to have been included in their love story. I wish them a lifetime of love and high-fives! ;) <3 Shout out to Photography by Larson for the awesome photo below. Okay, let me tell you…. I was SOO excited for Liz and James’ Wedding. Liz was one of the sweetest brides I’ve ever met and I just felt an instant connection to her. Also, I couldn’t wait to play at one of my favorite venues the Cà d’Zan in Sarasota. This venue is just breathtaking and it’s no surprise the couple fell in love with the venue. James and Liz were having a destination wedding here in Florida from Illinois! When picking out the songs for their ceremony, Liz wanted to surprise James by the song choices. Liz had a great idea for me to play “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles because James calls her “sunshine”. How stinkin’ cute is that?! Liz also requested that we decorate my harp. Beth (my harp) loves to dress up so I was so excited for her to have beautiful flowers on her column… and it looked PERFECT!! When I first saw the bride she was being escorted on the trolley to the ceremony site. Liz was absolutely stunning. I’m pretty sure she’s a model… I mean absolutely gorgeous! The ceremony was simple and sweet. Liz was so giddy and excited to be marrying the man of her dreams. I’ll never forget the way this couple looked at each other. I’m so honored that I get to witness such incredible moments between two people. Thank you Liz and James for having me play for your special day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love! Theresa and Samuel had such a perfect wedding ceremony and I’m so glad that I got to be a part of it. They tied the knot at one of my favorite wedding venues, the Powel Crosley Estate. This place is so gorgeous. I love every aspect of this venue. The waterfront view, the old mansion, the outside courtyard… everything is just perfect! Samuel and Theresa met online while playing a video game and instantly became best friends. They fell in love during a long distance relationship and the rest is history. Samuel proposed to Theresa at Disney World so it was only fitting that I play “Beauty and the Beast” for the bride’s entrance. She came down the outside staircase to the ceremony location. Staircase… Beauty and the Beast.. Get it?? It was the PERFECT grand entrance for the bride! Theresa looked stunning in her gorgeous lace sleeved dress. The ceremony was a great combination of laughter, love, and religion. Father Richard White did an amazing job officiating the ceremony. He was able to make the guests laugh and did an excellent job of highlighting the love between Theresa and Samuel. After the ceremony, I had the pleasure of playing by the water under the pavilion for cocktail hour. I had such a great time! During the hustle of moving the harp, I somehow managed to lose my remote for my car keys.. After a quick panic, I found the remote just sitting on the bumper of my car. Phew! Thank you Theresa and Samuel for sharing your love story with me. I wish you both nothing but the best! Congratulations!! |
