Alexandra and Jeffrey’s Circle of Love at @LongboatKeyClub Resort Harborside in #longboatkey11/18/2016 I loved EVERYTHING about Alexandra and Jeffrey’s wedding. I love playing at the Longboat Key Club Resort Harborside even though I stupidly followed my GPS and got lost. I KNOW how to get to this venue…. I just chose to ignore my instinct. Lol Anyway, I arrived with plenty of time to set up (This is why I always leave EARLY.. just in case). This was probably the first wedding where the groom offered to help me unload and set up the harp. HOW SWEET!? There were so many little details that I enjoyed and appreciated about this wedding. The ceremony chairs were set up in a circle so that everyone had a great view of the bride and groom. I LOVED this. The couple was literally surrounded by the ones they love! The flower girl was the CUTEST... Ever. She kept calling the bride “Princess Allie” and was SO excited when the bride walked down the aisle. My heart melted. The flower girl was wearing the same dress the bride wore at her parents wedding. The ceremony was very beautiful and they included different readings throughout. My favorite was when they did a reading and German and English to honor the groom’s ancestry. I was really impressed with their German! I loved watching the love they had for each other shine in their eyes and their smiles. It was so obvious the love they not only have for each other but their family. I’m so lucky to witness moments like these. How could I almost forget?! Allie and Jeff requested that I play “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit for the recessional song. I had SO much fun learning and playing this song. I’ve probably played it at every event/wedding since then. I LOVE IT! (Thank you for introducing me to such a cool song! I would have never thought to learn that one.) After the ceremony, the photographer got some incredible shots of the beautiful couple with the harp. :) I’m such a proud mama when I see my baby girl in portraits. After pictures, it was time for the cocktail hour. Aside from getting eaten alive (why did I forget my bugspray? wahh), I had such a GREAT time playing contemporary songs for the guests. The guests were great! I really enjoyed talking to them and receiving compliments. Hehe :) I could go on and on about this wedding. Allie and Jeff’s wedding was not only beautiful but unique. One I will always remember. THANK YOU for including me in such a memorable moment in your life. I wish you all the love and happiness in the world. |
