I was so excited to play for Andrea and Jason’s wedding! I’ve played at some really spectacular locations before but never on a rooftop. Needless to say, I was REALLY looking forward to their wedding. The couple tied the knot on the Westin rooftop overlooking the bay. The view was breathtaking and the weather was perfect! There was a nice gentle breeze. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day for a wedding! We were anticipating the sound of the traffic to be overbearing compared to the harp so I made sure to bring my amp just in case. As it turns out, I didn’t even need my amp. The ceremony was intimate so it worked out perfectly. (I was a little concerned because a minor car accident happened on the road below. Thankfully, no one was hurt. I was worried there would be sirens and a lot of traffic that would interrupt the ceremony but I was really impressed how smoothly the accident was handled. I don't think anyone realized what happened below). Anyway… Andrea looked so beautiful and regal. She had the biggest smile on her face. I’m pretty sure the groom was brought to tears (okay okay not like crying but like one little glistening tear. lol). Shhh it’s our secret. ;) My favorite moment of the day is when the bride and groom high-fived each other after the ceremony! It was a candid moment between the two of them. I’m not even sure if anyone else saw it but me. It was the sweetest!! After the ceremony, I had the pleasure of playing cocktail hour for the guests. The guests were so kind and appreciative of my playing...which is always really nice. I had a wonderful time playing for Jason and Andrea. I’m honored to have been included in their love story. I wish them a lifetime of love and high-fives! ;) <3 Shout out to Photography by Larson for the awesome photo below. |
