I have been looking forward to Caylee’s wedding since she first contacted me through Facebook. Caylee has been a big “fan” of mine on social media and I was so excited to meet her! Caylee and Christopher tied the knot at the cutest little church in Bartow- First United Methodist Church. The church has gorgeous stained glass windows, a balcony, and a beautiful stage with a stunning pipe organ!! This wedding was a little different for me. I was fortunate to be able to play for their guests prior to the start of the ceremony and while the beautiful bridesmaids entered. However, I did not play for Caylee’s big entrance. Caylee dreamed of walking down the aisle to the words of Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years”. This was a unique experience for me. Since I was not playing for the bride’s entrance, I got to really watch her as she came through the doors and walked down the aisle-- I got goosebumps!!! She looked so beautiful and she was radiating with joy! The couple decided to do a unity cross ceremony and the bride requested that I play a song from my repertoire during this time. I decided to play the instrumental version of “A Thousand Years” and it was perfect for this moment. A few of the bridesmaids glanced over at me with big smiles once I started to play that song. I had the opportunity to chat briefly with Christopher before the wedding. He was so nice, funny, and charming. Caylee and Christopher are so lucky to have found each other! I am so happy for this couple and wish them many years of life, love, and prosperity! |
