I was so excited and honored when Patrick contacted me to be a part of his wedding day! Him and his partner Wayne have been together 25 years and could now finally make it official! :) The couple had a small intimate ceremony at their home which I overheard from the guests was just lovely. After the ceremony, the guests arrived at Seasons 52 for the luncheon reception and were greeted by the sounds of the harp. I played for the cocktail hour and during the reception. The reception and guests were so fun! I found myself laughing quite a bit, especially during the speeches. Everyone was so appreciative and thankful for my playing which means the world to me! I always enjoy my “job” even more when I know people are actually listening to me (lol) and enjoy what they hear. Thank you Patrick and Wayne for allowing me to be included in a day you’ve waited so long for. I look forward to many more same-sex weddings and most importantly, more couples celebrating their love! |
