Tony-award winning actress Karen Olivo was the featured performer in the Feb. 13 “Performance For A Purpose” to benefit the scholarship efforts of All Saints Academy All Saints Academy in Winter Haven Florida.  Olivo is most recognized for her role as Cassie Reynolds opposite Kathy Bates on the hit NBC show Harry’s Law, and for her Tony Award-winning performance as Anita in the 2009 Broadway revival of West Side Story. Her other Broadway credits include originating the role of Vanessa in the Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights; starring as Faith in Brooklyn The Musical; and performing in the Pulitzer- and Tony Award-winning musical Rent.   “Performance For A Purpose” began with a reception at 6:30 p.m where I had the honor to entertain the guests with the sounds of my harp, followed by Karen Olivo's performance.  Catering was provided by Publix Aprons.
